This Sunday 14 October from 10am to 1pm, the Broads Authority are offering children, adults and families the chance to learn all about the fantastic world of fungi at their ‘Funky fungi family fun’ event.

Taking place just outside of Norwich at Whitlingham, the event includes a family-friendly walk around the beautiful surroundings of the country park to identify and collect fungi, lots of fun games and opportunities for interactive learning. Local fungus expert Jon Tyler from Wild for Woods will be leading the session, so you’re guaranteed to learn something new.

Nick Sanderson, Education Officer for the Broads Authority said,

“Despite being incredibly important and all around us, the kingdom of fungi, which includes mushrooms, toadstools, and moulds, are massively overlooked by the public. We want to inspire the next generation of fungus fans and hope to see lots of you enjoying our interactive introduction to this fascinating world!”
